We simply don't have that in the UK, and whilst he's an archer (longbow for those interested) and knows his way around a range, that's a very different exercise. Fortunately, the gentlemen at Jefferson were hugely welcoming, and after carefully watching a safety video, we discussed what we might use. One Glock 17 and box of ammunition later, and we were on the range under the careful guidance of our instructor. 5 yards saw some impressive grouping. 10 yards was harder work and 12.5 yards was our limit before we ran out of ammo and had to return to ask for a second weapon to try. One 44 Magnum later and I'd decided that I'm content with my Glock and terrified of the Magnum. My son, however, was well taken with the latter.
What was clear, however, was that this was a proper set up, with sensible shooting at its heart. A great experience and one that really ticked the box for us.

And it is all good value for money! At 74 and a life time experience of weapons this was the best part of my holiday from Ireland !

We chose 3 handguns which came with 50 rounds. As soon as we were done my wife asked if we could get more, lol. We had 50 more rounds for her and I changed to a small calibre rifle which came with 100 rounds.
To get there we caught the bus which was a 40 minute trip, $1.25 per person.
Would definitely recommend.
